Here at Golden Terra Farms we use Permaculture based, Regenerative and Sustainable methods of farming. Those sheep you see, well they are fertilizing our fields, pastures, orchards, and woods. The chickens are free-ranging, and following the sheep. cleaning up the parasites, unwanted pests, bugs, leaf litter. They leave valuable fertilizer. We also utilize the rich composting abilities of our spent mushroom mycelium.... all for a rich and earthy soil. To build the nutritional powerhouse for our plants and animals to thrive.

We are Soil Farmers. Soil is everything to what we do. We have been re-building our soil using Korean Natural Farming Methods- boosting the soil fertility by using and sourcing Natural Indigenous Microorganism's.
What makes us different?
Free range Turkeys
We pasture and free range our turkeys, because we like them to have a great life with one bad day...Harvest day. Come out on a Sunday and you will find us taking a slow walk around the farm, with our turkeys . Turkeys available in the early fall. Please contact us to place your order.
U-Pick Berry Orchards
Enjoy picking fresh fruit in our orchards of Apricots, Blackberries, Blueberries, Honeyberries, Currants, Chokecherries. And soon our Elderberries and Pinyon nuts will be mature. Contact us for more information, and find out what is in Season right now.

We believe in raising our standards when it comes to the food you eat. We use Permaculture methods of growing our plants, nurturing our animals, and raising the soil quality to perfection. Utilizing companion planting, mushroom composting, free ranging our poultry to take care of the bugs and pests. We do not use pesticides, herbicides, or anything else toxic to our bodies or the lives of our animals. Here at Golden Terra Farms we sincerely believe in creating Nutrition for your Soul!

Manchurian Apricots- Hardy for our climate. Our farm is at 7600' elevation and they thrive here and around the Taos valley. Healthy, fresh and delicious! Come pick some during harvest times.

We have free ranging happy hens. Which means we have healthy eggs. We have started utilizing Korean Natural Farming methods. Giving us 'Happier chickens', increased egg and meat production and the absence of any 'smelliness'.

We raise New Mexican Dahl Sheep. We believe this New Mexican Heritage breed should be saved and protected. We can trace our bloodlines back to Francisco Coronado's Spanish sheep he brought to the America's...... back in the 1600's. When he departed, he left his sheep to run wild. They mated with the Rocky Mountain Bighorn sheep and created this magnificent state breed.

We custom graze our rams and sheep, chickens and turkeys. Which also means our Livestock guardian dogs are protecting our flocks. That’s why we will need to move and put the dogs and rams up.... for your safety.
